Tardy Policy

Tardy Policy

Teachers will follow progressive discipline in their classrooms. Students are to arrive at their classrooms prior to the tardy bell, or they will be marked tardy in Infinite Campus (IC). A student who is more than thirty minutes late to class will be counted absent for the class period. Students with five or more tardies in a month for EB or 1st period classes will be placed on required parent conference (RPC) status, and their parents must meet with administration.

Progressive Discipline for tardies:

Students are to be in their classrooms prior to the tardy bell. Tardies are cumulative for each quarter. A student who is more than 30 minutes late to class will be counted absent for the classroom period. Tardy lock-outs are conducted regularly. If a student is caught in a tardy lock-out they will be placed on RPC. Parent must sign them in.

The tardy policy is as follows:

Consequences:

1st: Verbal warning

2nd: Teacher Detention/Parent/Guardian contact

3rd: Dean Referral – Dean Detention

4th: Dean Referral - IHS

5th: RPC-IHS Parent Required Conference-Sign in.

6th: Loss of School Activity Status/RPC-IHS Parent Required Conference-Sign in.

Subsequent Tardies may result in a suspension from school.
